Chef Secret Service agent (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is in charge of the president's protection detail. When the president is assassinated, he blames himself for his team's failure and quits his post. Before alcohol get the better of him, he become obsessed with solving the crime and he takes manner in his own hands. In his research for the truth, he met a tenacious reporter (Angie Harmon) that aids him in his quest. Things heat up as together they must unravel a web of lies as they try to divine the truth behind the conspiracy among shadowy assassins protecting an ex-special ops commander.
